Job Description
Recruitment for Trains Clerk positions under CEN 07/2026. Responsibilities include maintaining train movement records, handling vehicle/wagon returns, compiling operational statistics, and assisting in station yard management.
Salary: Pay Level 2 under 7th CPC (Initial Basic Pay of ₹19,900/- plus applicable allowances)
Experience Required: Freshers / Under Graduates are eligible (No prior work experience required)
Qualification Required:12th (+2 Stage) or its equivalent examination with not less than 50% marks in the aggregate. (50% marks not insisted for SC/ST/PwBD/Ex-Servicemen with higher qualifications).
Note: Candidates applying for Trains Clerk must submit a self-declaration regarding whether they have undergone LASIK or any other corrective eye surgery (Annexure VII), as specific medical standards apply.
Age Limit: 18 to 30 years as on 1st January 2027 (Upper age relaxations apply as per rules).
